We did push ups today. And special exercises where we hold 10 lb weights in each hand, lean back and press the weights into the air. And other special exercises where we hold 10 lb weights in each hand, do 3 bicep curls then extend our arms in front of us and just hold the weights suspended in the air. We did something where we put one weight over our head, leaned back, then pressed the weight into the air. In between, we rode the bicycles with the tension turned way down so it was like riding through mud. And at the end of class, for 15 minutes, we alternated different ways of doing sit ups: regular ones, then two crunches followed by a full sit up, then leg lifts, then scissors – on and on.
If I thought my arms hurt when I got out of bed this morning, it was nothing compared to how everything hurts right now.
Well, it’s not so much that it hurts as it is just tired. So. Very. Tired.
I think one of the most depressing parts of all this is that instead of my energy level increasing – which I know will come in time – I am so tired after class, it takes everything I’ve got just to shower (I’m not looking forward to washing and drying my hair today) and get dressed. My “To Do” list just keeps growing longer and longer, and things are getting missed, simply because I’m not staying on top of it all. And that’s frustrating. Very frustrating. I’ve got so much to do, but all I want to do right now is SLEEP. When will this get easier???
