This afternoon, the boys and I were were sitting at the kitchen table, drinking hot chocolate and visiting.  Out of the blue, Peter said “Mommy, would you pay us to put on headphones and stand in the front yard and plug and unplug the Christmas lights to the beat of the music?”

Huh?

It took me a minute, but it finally dawned on me what he was saying. The Christmas lights in our front yard plug into 3 separate outlets.  He was suggesting that if each of the boys had on their headphones, they could make a synchronized light display, like this one at the Frisco library:

I thought about letting them do it – bundling them up in their coats and scarves and gloves, then let them just start going to town with the lights.  Wouldn’t that be hilarious?

I mean, nothing says class like creating your own low-tech light display, right?
