Well, I’ve been 40 for a couple of days now, and I have to say…it’s as bad as I thought it would be. I just took an online survey and had to put in my age. Ugh. I almost wish I could skip right on to 41. 40 just seems so…ugly.
Nevertheless, since I am always an optimist (okay, not so much an optimist as a survivor! Yeah, that’s it!) (Well, that’s a little strong. Maybe instead of survivor, I should say willing participant.) (Okay, so perhaps that overstates it somewhat.) Where was I? Oh yeah, I was about to say that I’m not going to spend a whole post focusing on myself.
So the boys are providing me with daily entertainment and many blog-worthy quotes and events, but I can’t remember any of them right now. So instead, I’m going to fall back on an old favorite – posting pictures of stuff. Enjoy!
First of all, let me just say that my new scrapbooking software is so much fun, a whole day can slip away without me even noticing the boys destroying the house or trying to kill each other. Now THAT’S priceless! In fact, CM has come out with a new Disney album which was too cute for me to pass up. So I am completely revamping my Disney album and am so happy about it! Here are just a few of the new pages:
Aren’t these fun??? I’ve also snapped a few cute pics of the boys I want to share:
Our big news today is that Matthew lost his first tooth! He is so excited to get his first visit from the Tooth Fairy tonight!
This is Samuel’s belly button, where they went in for his surgery a week ago today. Wow – has it really only been a week??? It’s still a little swollen and bruised but looks so much better with each passing day. And he almost no pain anymore.
My mom and sister sent this to me on my birthday – isn’t it pretty??? And oh so tasty!!! I almost didn’t share with anyone but broke down and let the kids and Brad help me finish them after a couple of days.
Finally, I enter here for your viewing pleasure, just a taste of our newest artist in residence’s drawings. Simple, yet profound, they represent two humans and some random letters. Yes, that’s right, the brilliant mind behind this masterpiece is Samuel. So talented. I just bet he got his skillz from his daddy.
Well, that’s about it. Back to scrapbooking. Will check in again when Matthew loses his next tooth or some other earth-shattering event takes place.
