Sure it’s broken…
but at least I can still play Nintendo!!!
So, here’s the scoop. Barry and DeVonda Hand were having dinner with us tonight and when I called the kids down to dinner, Samuel declared that “Whoever gets to the table first wins!” and as soon as he said it, I saw Peter come careening around the corner in socked feet. He was going too fast and when he tried to stop, his feet came out from under him and he caught himself with his left arm. I knew something was wrong when he started screaming and saying “I can’t move! I can’t move!”. I ran outside to get Brad and he helped Peter upstairs to his room. Quite a while later, Peter was still crying (a lot) so I came up to check on him. I could just tell from the way he was crying he was in a lot of pain. We called the pediatrician and they said to take him to Acute Kids (equivelant of the ER, only they have a pedi on staff). I stayed with the company and other two boys and Brad took Peter. The x-rays supposedly confirmed a fracture close to his elbow, but they will have a radiologist view them tomorrow to make sure. They put him in a splint and I am going to take him Monday to get a cast put on. Now, we wait and see how many times he will wake up in the night…
I am so sorry your arm is broken, Peter. I hope you don’t hurt too much. I am not wearing my sling any longer. Should I bring it to you?
I am sure you will enjoy many hours of playing games, especially Ninento. Do you think a chocolate cake would make your arm feel better? You call me if you want a cake.
I Love You and take good care of that arm. Grandma
